Barrier-free access
The AFK in Warsaw is partially accessible and promotes inclusion through technical features such as an induction loop and the installation of the TOTUPoint system. As a result, the forum is also partially accessible to individuals with limited mobility. Access via Ulica Próżna is only possible with additional assistance due to the narrow sidewalk. The rear entrance on Ulica Bagno leads directly to the AFK’s main hall. An accessible restroom is located on the first floor and can be reached by elevator.
The AFK sees itself as a space for artistic and cultural exchange, guided by a broad understanding of culture. Through close cooperation with partners across Poland, it develops a program rooted in Austria’s tradition of cross-border political culture. Key elements of the AFK include the involvement of artists, the collaborative exchange of projects and ideas, and the long-term nature of these partnerships. The foundation of the AFK is a comprehensive concept of culture that encompasses all areas of the arts and cultural life. The AFK is an active member of the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) network in Warsaw and held its presidency in 2020.
