Austria at the Women in Tech Summit 2025
The biggest and most exciting event in Europe and Asia for women in new technologies!

The largest conference for women in new technologies in Europe and Asia will be hosted in Warsaw this summer! On June 4 and 4, The Perspektywy Women in Tech 2025 in Warsaw Expo XXI will bring together leading engineers, programmers, specialists, scientists, entrepreneurs, activists, leaders, start-uppers, students, and women at the beginning of their professional careers, as well as men and all people supporting diversity in STEM, Tech & IT industry.

During the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2025 over 150 inspiring speakers and special guests will be on four stages, as well as participating in dozens of tech-talks and workshops.

The special guest at the summit this year will be from Austria, the first female professor of computer science in a German-speaking country and a pioneer of software engineering Prof. Tracy E. Northup (University of Innsbruck). On Thursday, 5 June, she will participate in The 6th Seminar for Computer Science Researchers, where she will give a lecture and take part at the discussion The Seminar will be devoted specifically to the professional career of women researchers in quantum physics and computer science. It will offer an opportunity to present research projects and establish valuable scientific contacts.

In addition, Austria will be represented at this year's Summit with its own stand in the Career Expo Zone, which is organized by Austrian Cultural Forum in cooperation with Austria Tourism. We would like to cordially invite you to stop by and visit us!

Tracy E. Northup (1978) is a Professor at the University of Innsbruck’s Institute for Experimental Physics. Her research uses optical cavities and trapped ions as tools to explore quantum-mechanical interactions between light and matter, with applications for quantum networks and sensors. Her research team currently consists of six PhD students, three postdocs, and two master’s students. The team is working on quantum information transfer between remote ions, mediated by photons; simulations of solid-state phenomena with ions in cavities; and quantum optomechanics with levitated nanospheres.

Warsaw Seminar of Computer Science Researchers [by invitation]

The seminar will focus on the career paths of women researchers in computer science and related fields, providing an opportunity to explore research projects and establish valuable scientific connections.

The special guest will be Prof. Tracy Northup from the University of Innsbruck, The Erwin Schrödinger Center for Quantum Science and Discovery, and Quantum Science Austria.

The event is organized in partnership with The Austrian Culture Forum in Warsaw.
