As part of the literary dialogue, German studies students from Opole, together with Prof. Dr. habil. Gabriela Jelitto-Piechulik, invite you to rediscover the Austrian writer Stefan Zweig. His works, marked by deep humanism and psychological sensitivity, remain relevant to this day. Especially for young readers, Zweig’s literature fascinates and transports them to past times while addressing universal themes. Together, we will read selected texts by Zweig in a bilingual version and exchange reflections—including on the challenges and possibilities of translation. The goal is not only to appreciate Zweig’s literary value but also to highlight his significance for the present. The event is open to everyone interested in literature, history, and language, and encourages active participation and discussion.
