On 21-23 March 2010 in Warsaw the British Council will organise the ?Creative Cities: Innovation for Urban Challenges? workshop for social entrepreneurs from several European countries. The workshop?s aim is to support the management and delivery of social enterprises. We would like to communicate this opportunity to people who are pioneering new ideas ? products, services and models ? that fulfill as yet unmet social needs. These people are producing goods and services for
a market economy but manage their operations and redirect their surpluses in pursuit of social / community goals. They may work in local government, run their own businesses, enterprises or projects or simply be active citizens or citizen activists. They will perceive themselves as social entrepreneurs.
The ?Creative Cities: Innovation for Urban Challenges? workshop is organized as a part of the British Council?s Creative Cities international project. It shares experience across Europe on the ways creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation can help to improve people?s lives - making cities better places to live, work and play.
