The exhibition depicts Ludwig Wittgenstein’s life and personal background, which led to the creation of the Tractatus logico-philosophicus. Photographs, excerpts from letters by Wittgenstein and his correspondents as well as commentaries by the exhibition organisers picture a person completely dedicated to the reflection on language and thought. The Tractatus is the culmination of an unusual mixture of these reflections combined with mediations of an existential nature and influenced by Wittgenstein’s wartime experience and reading of Tolstoy.
