The latest information on scholarships in Austria can be found on the portal of the Austrian Exchange Service www.grants.at. On the website oead.map you will find all research centres that cooperate with the ÖAD.

If you want to study in Austria, use the practical file of universities and fields of study www.studienwahl.at as well as the information on living and studying in Austria www.studyinaustria.at. The Integration Fund offers a portal for German courses in Austria sprachportal.integrationsfonds.at.

Since January 2022, the Open Educational Resources (OER) platform for German teachers has made digitally available materials for teaching German as a foreign language with reference to Austria free of charge worldwide.

Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts 2023

"Writer of the City of Graz" 2023/2024

The city of Graz awards the "Writer of the City of Graz" scholarship each year. The intention is to promote writers who show innovative ability and examination of current subject matters, quality in aesthetic and linguistic terms, authenticity and artistic independence. The residence in Graz should contribute to cultural exchange and interaction with the local literature scene. The grant includes the provision of an apartment for free in the Cerrini-Schloessl on the Schlossberg, from September 1st of the year awarding until August 31st of the following year, and a monthly allowance of EURO 1.300. 
 
 

“Spheres of a Genius” - Jazz competition - tribute to Carla Bley.

A jazz competition by JAM MUSIC LAB University (JMLU) in cooperation with the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra (RSO). The prize-winning work will be premiered on October 4th 2023 in the Grand Hall of the Konzerthaus Vienna under the direction of Marin Alsop. The concert will be recorded by ORF and broadcast on the O1 program.
The composition competition “Spheres of a Genius” was based on the 100th Birthday of the jazz composer and pianist Thelonious Monk. The subsequent competition paid homage to Leonard Bernstein. This third “Spheres of a Genius” event pays tribute to Carla Bley.

Digital Humanism Fellowship 2023

The fellowship program on “Digital Humanism” aims to describe, analyze, and influence the complex interplay of technology and humankind, envisaging a better society and life in the digitized era. Senior and Junior Visiting Fellows are invited to the Institute to explore the urgent intellectual challenges at the complex interplay of humans and machines. During their stay at the Institute, they work on crucial topics in the field, pursue interdisciplinary research, and organize lectures and discussions reaching out to the public audience in Vienna and beyond.

Intercultural Achievement Award 2023

Since 2007, the Task Force “Dialogue of Cultures” of the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs serves as a contact point for and originator of various intercultural and interreligious dialogue activities. The Task Force aims to promote understanding through education and the exchange of information, the rapprochement between different cultures and religions, the strengthening of intercultural and interreligious competences and the inclusion of marginalised groups and religions - nationally as well as internationally.

CS under 30 is an open call for performances of concert projects in the Carinthian Summer 2023 and is addressed to artists* or ensembles under the age of 30 from EU member states, EFTA countries and for Ukrainian refugees in Poland. The performances of the winning project(s) will take place in the Festival Carinthischer Sommer 2023 and in the Mittelfest 2023 in Cividale del Friuli.
