The latest information on scholarships in Austria can be found on the portal of the Austrian Exchange Service www.grants.at. On the website oead.map you will find all research centres that cooperate with the ÖAD.

If you want to study in Austria, use the practical file of universities and fields of study www.studienwahl.at as well as the information on living and studying in Austria www.studyinaustria.at. The Integration Fund offers a portal for German courses in Austria sprachportal.integrationsfonds.at.

Since January 2022, the Open Educational Resources (OER) platform for German teachers has made digitally available materials for teaching German as a foreign language with reference to Austria free of charge worldwide.

Dance on tour Austria 2024 for dance artist based in Austria and performing in Poland

DANCE ON TOUR is a project by Tanzquartier Wien and in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs. DANCE ON TOUR offers financial support to contemporary dance and performance artists and companies based in Austria who wish to go on tour with their production. Applications will regularly be selected by three independent jury members. Jury members are Angela Glechner, Bettina Hagen and Astrid Peterle.

University of Klagenfurt Technology Scholarships 2025/2026 (for students with a Bachelor’s degree)

The target group of the scholarship programme (supplementary grant) are students who can prove very good English language skills (B2 or C1, depending on the desired study programme) and want to pursue one of the following Master’s degree programmes at AAU and start their studies in the winter semester 2025/26 Master in: Mathematics, Game Studies and Engineering, Informatics, Information Management, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, Information and Communications Engineering (ICE).

Ernst Mach Grant 2025/2026

The Ernst Mach Grant – worldwide invites applications from PhD students, Postgraduates, Postdocs and young lecturers from universities outside of Austria. Students and academic teaching staff from all fields of study can apply for a grant period of 1 to 9 months, extensions are not possible.

The Franz Werfel fellowship 2025/2026

The Richard Plaschka Fellowship of historical sciences with a focus on Austrian history 2025/2026

The Richard Plaschka Fellowship is open to applications from young university teachers of historical sciences with a focus on Austrian history. It enables them to work as visiting researchers at university departments and carry out research in libraries, archives or at research institutions. The fellowship is awarded for 4 to 9 months and includes follow-up measures (financial and material).
