Streszczenie: Obecnie jest już oczywiste, że duża część narodu austriackiego brała udział w nazistowskiej machinie eksterminacyjnej. Jednak bardzo długo wspominanie Holocaustu było tematem tabu zarówno dla ofiari ich potomków, jak i sprawców i ich dzieci. Czy nadal stanowi tabu dla wnuków i prawnuków? Film Nazywaj mnie Żydem stawia wiele pytań. Co zostało zapamiętane? Co jest zapomniane? A przede wszystkim: Jakie są dzisiaj losy tych, którzy przeżyli?

Short description: The involvement of large sections of the Austrian population in the Nazi extermination machine is still evident today. For a long time remembering the Holocaust was as much a taboo for surviving victims and their descendents as it was for the perpetrators and their children. Does this taboo still exist for the children’s children and their children – the great-grand children? The film Call Me a Jew poses many questions: What is remembered? What is forgotten? And above all: How are the survivors faring today?


Reżyser: Michael Pfeifenberger urodził się w 1965 r. w Zederhaus. Jest filmowcem od 1995 r. Współpracował przy licznych międzynarodowych filmach i produkcjach telewizyjnych jako asystent reżysera, dyrektor produkcji, reżyser i autor.

Director: Michael Pfeifenberger was born in 1965 in Zederhaus. He works as a filmmaker since 1995. Cooperated in numerous international cinema and TV productions as an assistant director, production manager, director and author.
